My name is Pam and I am a full-time Vanlifer. This is my first blog as a Vanlifer and I hope to create many more for you as I travel the US and Canada.

HONK YOUR HORN IF YOU SEE US ON THE ROAD!

We call ourselves Boondock and Beyond.

DEFINITION:

A Vanlifer is someone that has a Van they either bought as an empty shell and built their own mini-home inside. Usually about 70 sq ft of living space. And lives in it full-time.

Or, they bought it straight from the manufacturer with the mini-home already constructed. That is me. And I live full-time in my 70 sq feet along with Dallas and Coco, my two Cavaliers. You'll hear about them later.

Under the umbrella of Vanlifers, you will also find Skoolies, Carlifers, Ambulances, Bread Trucks and many more.

Vanlifers are weird group of people of all shapes, sizes and ages defined as people that prefer to live off grid. We prefer secluded spots in the woods or the deserts.

Often near water. Lakes. Streams. Ponds. Oceans. Falls. Just near water.

A brief bio about me. I was born and raised in Maine and then I lived in Florida for many years. My home base is Texas now. I have family there as well as in Maine.

I am a 1954 boomer and still going strong!

My daughter and two grandchildren live in Amarillo. I am also married and my husband has his own van, but that is a whole long story in itself.

You will find my blogs to be brief because I have a short attention span. That is why you will find me on TikTok or IG more than on YouTube!
