VanLife Worthy Photos

Great photos and videos are pure gold to a Vanlifer. We have so many opportunities to photograph all of the different places we have been. My photos have a lot to be desired I recently realized. I have an album on my phone marked "worthy pictures". I have a half dozen photos in it. You get my drift.

My father was a great photographer. He was a landscape photographer. My mother complained that he never had any people in his photos.

He had all the complicated cameras and equipment. I tried it but I was too impatient. I was like the 10th person in line waiting for the bathroom. Being a baby boomer I wanted instant gratification.

Some time ago I signed up for this class from iPhone Academy

Typical me, I started the course and never finished it. However, it was a great class and I learned a lot. That is where the "worthy photos" album came from.

Here is one.

I was quite impressed with myself. This was taken in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, on a sunny calm Saturday.

Recently I decided to go back to the class and try to get my crap together. Once you buy it you have a lifetime membership. If you can believe it, I had my username and password written down.

I started the class over and I remembered why I liked it so much. One, I could do it on my iPhone which I always have with me. Two, I learned lots of tricks and what each setting means. Third, I realized I had

also bought the iPhone Editing Class that I never even opened. There is a special way to hold your phone and everything.

Here is one I took at my brother's house on an early fall day. I think my father would be proud even if I just used an iPhone. IPhones weren't invented yet when he died.

I took this photo before I even took the iPhone Editing class.

When I stopped taking the class, I started getting photos like this one. This is someone's or some animal's grave. I never could figure it out. Especially from this great photo.

I am embarrassed about this, of course. A 2-year-old could do a better job,

My point is, that as I travel as a full-time Vanlifer there is no excuse for me not to get great photos. Who knows. Maybe I will win some great award or something. (laugh emoji)

I will be posting more on social media and as you see them give me a like because you will know I finished the class.

When I find something I like I just assume everyone else will love it, too. (where are my emoji icons on this computer?)

I asked iPhone Academy if I could become an affiliate and they said yes. When you click on the link in this blog and go check out the class for yourself and then you buy it, smart person that you are, they will pay me a commission. This costs you nothing extra.

That is what an affiliate marketer (me) does. Just as the name suggests. One thing I don't do, though, is write blogs, product reviews or post about anything I don't believe in. You can become one, too.

There are my ramblings for the day. I can't wait to see the improvements in my photos. They have a landscape class, too, that I will take next.

OK, Pam. It is time to end this blog. I used to be able to write, too. (last chance on the hit myself in the head emoji).

Vanlife is the best!!

If you should ever get the chance to take a photo of chimney swifts near the end of a day please take it. I remember watching them diving into the Grange Hall chimney when I was young. There would be a big towering cloud of them waiting for a chance to zoom in!

The same thing in our town. It was the high school chimney that ours flew into. When I go back there this fall I'll see if they are still around.
